My family came over today for a barbeque and some time by the pool. I went swimming with my grandmother, and then my brother and I went and got ice cream from the ice cream man. Not kidding. I haven’t done that since.. okay, well since last week at camp, but I haven’t gotten it for real in a few years. You know what I mean by “for real.” When the ice cream man would come up your street and you’d run out with your parents cash and spend forever picking out the perfect treat. Yes. That is what I did today. I got a cookie ice cream sandwich thing. You know the one.
After that I laid in the hammock and read Someone Like You for a little bit. I love Sarah Dessen. So much. After taking a shower to wash out all the chlorine, I had dinner with my family. All four grandparents, my brother and my parents. It was nice. I learned just how much taller my brother is than I, and my dad took a bunch of pictures.
Back to work tomorrow morning. A full week!
